Daniel Butler lecturing at University of Melbourne 2015

University of Melbourne

I will be once again returning to the University of Melbourne to impart some of the knowledge I have gained in the 30+ years working in the fields of superannuation and tax.

Having presented at the University of Melbourne previously, it is great to have the chance to go back and present on how the industry is now. The field of superannuation and tax is a technical and complex area and a continually evolving one. As advisers we have a responsibility to our clients to provide the most up-to-date and knowledgeable advice.

This time I will be bringing my expertise to the Taxation of Superannuation subject of the Melbourne Law Masters at the University of Melbourne in 2015. This will be another opportunity to pass on a wealth of knowledge to the latest generation of budding lawyers and advisers but also a way for me to instil a passion for an area of law that I have gained so much from over many years. I have never had any moment throughout my career where I felt ‘things are becoming too familiar and I should move on’. As the pace of change keeps getting faster, there is always more learning to keep on top of the game!
